Who are the Parties in a Divorce?
The Plaintiff and Defendant are the parties in a Divorce in Singapore.
A Divorce petition comprises 2 Parties i.e. you and your spouse. The Plaintiff is the spouse filing the Petition. The Defendant is the other spouse. If the Divorce is based on Adultery, the 3rd party may be named in the Petition as the “Co-Defendant“.
